Kendrick Lamar’s latest album DAMN. is out now and sounding outstanding. The general consensus seems to be positive so we expected the album to do well in terms of numbers.
According to initial projections from Hits Daily Double, Lamar's fourth LP, which arrived Friday, April 14th, is looking at around 450,000 in sales its opening week. Later on, HDD updated their projections to 460-485,000 album equivalent units with 275-300,000 of those being earned traditionally.
Such sales would give it Kendrick’s biggest opening ever (TPAB did 324,000) and the second biggest opening of the year, following the 505,000 Drake moved last month with his playlist More Life.
